Brother Charles Dennis Brady II Cortland Lodge #529

Charles Dennis Brady II, age 86, of Cortland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 22nd at Cortland Health Care Center.

He was born on October 31, 1938, in Warren, Ohio, to Charles and Mary Louise Brady. He graduated from Warren G. Harding in 1956 and proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1961.

On January 20, 1962, he married the love of his life, Margaret (Marge) Medzie, and they shared 63 wonderful years.

Chuck worked in maintenance at Packard Electric for 45 years, where he was known to “spread oil and good cheer.” Chuck was an avid do-it-yourselfer and was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, Charles (Cheryl) Brady and Bethany Driggers; his grandchildren, Connor (Katin) Brady, Brady (Alisha) Driggers, Cullen Brady, and Ayrn Driggers (Cody Rose, fiancé); and his brother, Kenny (Carol) Brady.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mary Louise, and his sister Margaret (Peggy) King.

A viewing will be held from 12:30 pm to 1:30 pm at the Lane-Shaffer-Winans Funeral Home in Cortland, with service to be held at the All Souls Cemetery Chapel in Bazetta at 2 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

In place of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude’s or the American Cancer Society in Chuck's honor. ... See MoreSee Less
